BG David R. Brown

Commander 31st Chemical Brigade Alabama Army National Guard

Brigadier General David R. Brown is the Assistant Adjutant General - Alabama National Guard. As such, he serves as an advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters regarding the manning, training and operations of the Alabama National Guard.

Brigadier General Brown was commissioned in 1986 through the Alabama Military Academy Officer Candidate School in Fort McClellan, Alabama.

He deployed to Iraq in 2006 and after a year of deployment, returned to the United States Army War College for two years on Active Duty and where he served as a faculty member.

He took over command of the 31st Chemical Brigade in July 2011.
